Cinderella runs at the Everyman from 27 November, Peter Pan at the Playhouse from 11 December at £15 to £31. Seven Everyman dates have no public performance.

Cheltenham has two pantomimes this Christmas: Cinderella at the Everyman Theatre and Peter Pan: The Pantomime Adventure at the Cheltenham Playhouse. Both are booking now, and one of them publishes a price against every single performance while the other publishes none at all.

Cinderella, Everyman Theatre, 27 November to 10 January

Tweedy returns as Buttons, with Everyman regulars Kevin Brewis and Miles Western as the Ugly Sisters, Dominic Treacy (Kaleb in Mother Goose) as Dandini, and Olivia Bella as Cinderella. The theatre is on Regent Street, GL50 1HQ; the box office is 01242 572573.

The run is 33 listed dates from Friday 27 November 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027.

Seven of those dates carry no public performance. Pull up 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 or 17 December, or 6 January, on the theatre’s own booking calendar and no times come back. Those are the schools dates. If you are buying for a family, treat the midweek December slots as unavailable and work around them.

The pattern for everything else, taken from the venue’s booking system on 5 September:

  • Evenings at 6pm or 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays early in the run
  • Weekend matinees at 11am and 3pm, which becomes the standard shape from mid-December
  • Three-show days on 5, 12, 19, 23 and 30 December and 9 January, at 11am, 3pm and 7pm
  • Christmas Eve at 11am and 3pm, then nothing until Boxing Day at 2pm and 6pm
  • No performance at all on 30 November to 3 December, 7 December, 14 December, 18 December, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day or 4 and 5 January
  • The run ends on Sunday 10 January at 11am and 3pm

Availability was good almost everywhere on 5 September. The two already marked limited are Sunday 6 December at 3pm and Christmas Eve at 3pm.

Family tickets are available on 27 November to 18 December and 4 to 10 January using the code PANTOFMLY26, which needs at least two full-price and two under-16 tickets in the basket, and does not apply to premium seats on all dates. Every booking, by any channel, carries a £1.75 non-refundable fee per transaction, not per ticket.

Prices are not published on the show page: they load only once you pick a performance and start choosing seats.

Access performances

The Everyman has two relaxed performances of the pantomime on 7 January, at 10.30am and 4.30pm. Note that 7 January is not one of the publicly bookable dates, so these are booked by emailing Sally-ann.Rhodes@everymantheatre.org.uk. The captioned performance is Friday 8 January at 6pm. Audio described and BSL performances are both promised but neither has a date yet.

Ear defenders can be borrowed at the kiosk, and anyone who needs to leave the auditorium can watch a live feed from the circle bar on the first floor.

Peter Pan, Cheltenham Playhouse, 11 December to 2 January

The Playhouse is a 186-seat theatre in the town centre, and its panto is an original script rather than a bought-in one: Peter Pan reset inside a circus in Kensington Gardens, with Tinker Bell, a flamboyant Miss Smee and Captain Hook.

Unlike the Everyman, the Playhouse prints a price beside every performance, and the prices move a long way across the run:

  • Friday 11 December, 7pm, from £15 and marked as a preview
  • Saturday 12 December, 12pm, from £15, the cheapest non-preview slot in the run
  • the rest of 12 and 13 December, from £27.50
  • 19, 20, 22, 23 and 24 December, from £31, the peak of the run
  • 26, 27, 29 and 30 December, from £25
  • 1 and 2 January, from £15

There is no performance on 21, 25 or 28 December.

Add a booking fee on top; the venue quotes its prices as “from £15 + booking fee”.

The bargain hunter’s read on that: the same show costs £31 on 22 December and £15 on 2 January.

There are three relaxed performances: Sunday 27 December at 12pm, Friday 1 January at 3pm and Saturday 2 January at 12pm.

Adult-only performances run separately, 18 to 29 December, for ages 18 and over only, from £25.

Which to pick

The Everyman is the traditional big-house panto with a named cast and a run that stretches to 10 January. The Playhouse is a 186-seat room, a new script and a published price for every date. If cost is the deciding factor, the Playhouse’s £15 dates at the very start and very end of its run are the cheapest seats in town this Christmas, and you can see the number before you commit.

Other Christmas shows

Both theatres run non-panto Christmas programmes alongside, and the Everyman offers relaxed performances of its studio Christmas shows as well as the panto. Full listings for the season, including the Christmas market and what is happening in the town centre, are in our page on Cheltenham’s Christmas lights and markets.

Getting there

Both theatres are in the town centre and neither has its own car park. Regent Street and Bath Road are minutes from the council car parks; which of them charge on a Sunday, and which have no one-hour rate, is set out in parking in Cheltenham. Check Cheltenham roadworks and travel before driving in on a matinee day.
